At INDEX 2011, held in Geneva, Switzerland last week Andritz Nonwovens announced that it had entered into a contract with BG Filter in China for a 6.6 meter wide spunjet machine.
According to Arnaud Laroche, sales manager, the new Spunjet line sold to Shanghai BG Filter will have a total capacity of 19,000 tons per year. The line will be hydroentangled PP and PET continuous mono filaments, from an in-line spunbond tower. This line, which is dedicated to the filtration and geotextile markets will be delivered on December 2011 for a start-up during the first quarter of 2012. “This line is the widest hydroentanglement line ever delivered, while the former widest lines were in the range of 5 meters width,” said Mr. Laroche. BG Filter Group is a well-known Chinese company providing bag filters made of PPS and glass fibers needlepunch nonwovens for coil burning power plants. The company operates several needlepunch lines and bags sewing facilities in several Chinese provinces (Shanghai, Jiangsu and Liaoning) and sells its products worldwide. The brand name of bag filters produced on the Spunjet line is BOGE.
